Cosmetic Dentistry in Chesapeake, VA
A Smile You’ll Love to Share
Chipped, stained, crooked, or worn teeth can make you hide your smile. The good news is that improving it rarely takes something extreme. At Gentle Family Dentistry, Dr. Patrick Grube offers conservative cosmetic dentistry in Chesapeake, VA, and walks you through every option, cost, and timeline before you begin. Our motto is simple: no surprises.

Professional Teeth Whitening
Coffee, tea, red wine, and time all dull a smile. Professional whitening with Opalescence™ products lifts stains more effectively than store-bought strips, with a dentist guiding the process so your results look natural and your teeth stay comfortable. Ask us which Opalescence option fits your schedule.

Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They can cover chips, gaps, uneven or worn edges, and deep stains that whitening can’t reach. Dr. Grube uses the iTero Element™ 5D scanner to take a digital impression – no messy putty trays – so your veneers are designed around your bite and your smile.

Cosmetic Bonding & Crowns
For a small chip or gap, tooth-colored bonding is a quick, affordable fix. For a tooth that is cracked, heavily filled, or weakened, a natural-looking crown restores both strength and appearance. We’ll help you choose the option that fits your goals and your budget.

Clear Aligners
SureSmile® clear aligners straighten crowded or gapped teeth without brackets or wires. The trays are nearly invisible and removable, so you can eat what you like and brush and floss normally. Many patients see results in about 9–15 months, and your timeline depends on your smile. Learn more about clear aligners.

Complimentary Cosmetic Evaluation
New patients: find out what the latest cosmetic dentistry can do for your smile with a complimentary cosmetic evaluation (a $95 value). Call us or send a request, and we’ll find a time that works for you.
Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs
How long does professional teeth whitening last?
Results often last from several months to a few years, depending on habits like coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. Occasional touch-ups help keep your smile bright.
Are veneers or bonding better for me?
Bonding is quicker and more affordable for small repairs. Porcelain veneers resist stains and are a longer-lasting choice for bigger changes. Dr. Grube will recommend the option that fits your goals during your evaluation.
Can I whiten teeth that have crowns, veneers, or fillings?
Whitening works on natural enamel, not on crowns, veneers, or fillings. If you plan to do both, we usually whiten first so any new work can be matched to your brighter shade.
Does insurance cover cosmetic dentistry?
Most dental plans don’t cover purely cosmetic treatment, but some procedures, like crowns, may be partly covered when there’s a restorative need. Our Patient Advocate will check your benefits and explain your costs up front, and financing is available through CareCredit and Lending Club Patient Solutions.
